boy I've got fat!

Got on the scales today for the first time in, well...a long time.
I'm a hefty 85kg, which in old money is 13st or thereabouts.
I'm 5'10" so that spare tyre round my waist will have to go, I'm afraid.

I'm going to try and cut out the biscuits and cakes and eat more fruit.
I'd like to get down to 75kg or even 78kg by early summer. We'll see how I get on.

2-3 turbo sessions per week will shift the weight, no problem. Just eat a touch less and it'll melt off.

I'd recommend throwing in some lower cadence, higher resistance sessions too. I didn't do that kind of stuff on the turbo until I got some coaching, but it has made me a lot stronger since.

Hey, thanks for the encouragement Neil!! I might do some of that stuff in the new year. At the moment I'm still finding my feet with all this turbo stuff. I'm thinking of doing a few 5 min VO2 max sessions around Feb/March time.

FTP goal.....hmmm. I've no idea what I'm capable of (not much probably!!),so it's kind of hard to
set a definitive goal. I guess I just want to keep improving and see where I get to. I'd like to be able to produce 300w FTP, since 300 is a nice round number!

I didn't know ACC had a forum! I should have searched for it, I guess . I'll have to check it out sometime. Thanks !!
